Jennie Blanchet

Blanchet, Jennie (Minalgo) 95, of Smithfield, died Thursday September 14, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Mark Blanchet. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was a daughter of the late Kasper and Vincentia (Subocz) Minalgo.

Jennie enjoyed traveling, cooking and knitting.

She is survived by her children, David Blanchet, Mark Blanchet, Gerard Blanchet and his wife Kathleen, and Jocelyn Blanchet, four grandchildren, Jacob, Julie and Paul Blanchet and David Nadeau, step grand-children, Mario and Janis Vendittelli, and a sister, Frances Gentile.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Michael Church, Smithfield. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Monday 4-7PM.
