Poirier, Gilda F. (Gabriele), died August 31, 2014. Born in and a lifelong resident of Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Yolanda (D'Orazio) Gabriele.
Gilda was a communicant of St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. She was the owner of Gilda's Lounge of Smithfield for many years and also worked as a medical records secretary at the IMH for over 30 years. Gilda was a member of the Rhode Island Council 94 and enjoyed knitting.
She leaves a daughter, Sheila Poirier, a sister, Beatrice Gabriele, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dante Gabriele.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 11:30 am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Georgiaville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours are omitted. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com
