Gilda Bryda, 95, formerly of Johnston, passed away on October 28, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank Bryda. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Russo) Simone and sister of the late William Simone and Gloria Stanowski.
She is survived by her nephew, Robert Simone and his wife, Carol, his great-niece, Carol Ann Shogi and her husband, Michael, and her great-great nephew, Robert Shogi.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation Monday 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
