Gerald Conlin

Conlin, Gerald Bernard of North Providence passed away peacefully in his home after a brief illness on August 22. He was the loving husband of Martha (Rogers) Conlin and the son of the late Bernard Joseph Conlin and the late Mary (Donahoe) Conlin of Jeanesville, PA. He was predeceased by his brother, Bernard.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son John and his wife Michelle of Shrewsbury, MA, his son Joseph and his wife Kara of Danbury, CT, his son Patrick of Buckland, MA, and his son Thomas of North Providence. He was also grandfather to Desmond, Garrett and Rory Conlin of Shrewsbury, MA.

Gerald was raised in Jeanesville, PA and attended the Univ. of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources, where he graduated with a degree in Forestry. He had a lifelong appreciation and love for the outdoors and was a member of the Society of American Foresters. He worked for many years as a construction project manager and retired from Aero Mechanical in Johnston, RI. Gerald loved reading, classical music and woodworking, but above all valued his faith and family.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 8 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Patrick's Church, Providence. Private burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Thursday, 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Amos House, 460 Pine St, Providence, RI 02907.
