Georgine Powers

Powers, Georgine E., 63, of Adams St, Smithfield, died October 26, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of Ernest E. Powers. Born in Jamestown, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Joanne (Harrington) Serpa.

Georgine was the owner and operator of Tail Waggers Inc. Previously, she was a payroll supervisor for Nife, Inc., the Newport National Bank in East Providence, and Piccoli and Sons.

Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Cheryl Serpa of Jamestown, and an aunt, Rose Serpa of Cranston.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling Hours Sunday 5-8 PM.
