George P. Belgarde, Sr.

George P. Belgarde, Sr., 83, of Seekonk, died on August 31, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hospice Center. He was the son of the late George and Effie (Baker) Belgarde. 

In his retirement, George enjoyed fly fishing for trout, restoring model trains, particularly Lionel models, antique trucks, and flea marketing. He also served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by five children, George P. Belgarde, Jr., Sherri Kennedy, Mary Crittenden, Mathew Belgarde, and John Belgarde, many grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert Belgarde.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 9-11 am, followed by a service at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
