Lavender, Frances L., 75, of Smithfield, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard W. Lavender. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (Kelly) Brunelle of Smithfield. She was a lifelong Smithfield resident.
She leaves behind a devoted son, Kevin R. Lavender, a daughter, Sheryl A. Canis, both of Smithfield, and a granddaughter, Melissa M. Canis of North Providence. She was the sister of the late Florence E. Mello.
