Evelyn Mcdonald

McDonald, Evelyn T. "Evie Baby", 74, of Smithfield, died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late George T. and Josephine (Bouchard) McDonald. She was a lifelong Smithfield resident.

Evie worked for the Institute of Mental Health for 31 years before retiring last year. She was an avid bowler and played golf and softball. Evie was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan. She was a member of the North Providence High School Reunion Committee.

Evie leaves a sister, Florence J. Turbitt of North Providence and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the longtime companion of Nick Peloquin. She was sister of the late George N. McDonald, Theresa D. Grist, and Joseph G. McDonald.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 am from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours Thursday 4-7 pm.
