Ethel Smith

Smith, Ethel M. (Smith), 89, of Centerdale Ave., died at Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Kenneth A. Smith and John J. Gore. Born in Burrillville, she was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Rankin) Smith.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Smith, Jr., Marion Vickers, Roy Smith, Leonard Smith, Mary Creighton, William Smith, Daniel Smith, Kathleen Garneau and Debra Melvin, 35 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Richard and Frederick Smith.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, with a service at 10am in St. Albans Church. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, North Smithfield. Calling hours Wednesday 6-8pm.
