DiChiaro, Ernest A., 93, formerly of Greenville, died October 3, 2016 at the VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Evelyn A. (Tremblay) DiChiaro for 69 years until her death. Born in North Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Emanuela (Montecalvo) DiChiaro.

Ernest was the owner of Reel-Y-Kleen for 25 years, retiring in 1985. An Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, he was a member of the Commanders Club, DAV, the Kelley Gazzero Post #1418, and the American Legion Balfour Cole Post #64. He was also a member of the St. Jude Society. Ernest had a great faith in God and love for his country.

Ernest is survived by three children, Janice Oliver of North Providence, Cheryl Contillo of Glocester, and Charles DiChiaro Sr. of Woonsocket, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his sister, Irene Lazzareschi of Providence. He was the brother of the late Joseph, John, Louis, Anthony, Anna, Domenic, and Carmella DiChiaro, Mary Cotoia, Maria Rainone, Lucy Adessi, and Florence Giardino.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:15 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post #64, PO Box 17055, Smithfield, RI 02917.
