Stepka, Emily Mary (Kozinski), died peacefully on January 25, 2017. She was the wife of the late Boleslaw F. Stepka. Emily was the loving mother of William F. Stepka, Thomas V. Stepka, and David P. Stepka. She was the sister of Stella Kloc, Wanda Trinidad, the late Genevieve Sleboda, and the late Thomas Kozinski. Emily was the beloved grandmother of Michael Stepka and the late Lynn Stepka Mitchell. She was the mother-in-law of Anne Stepka and Doris Stepka. Emily is survived by five great-grandchildren.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Emily was the daughter of the late Michael Kozinski and Walerya (Syrek) Kozinski. She attended Attleboro Public Schools and Bryant University. In July of 1943, she married the love of her life, Boleslaw F. Stepka and together they attended polka music festivals around the United States. In the 1950s and 1960s, Emily was an active participant in the Saint Adalbert's School Mothers Club where her three sons were students. Most recently, she was a member of the Saint Adalbert's Church Seniors Organization. Emily worked for Mine Safety Appliance Company for 22 years before her retirement in 1986.

Emily will always be remembered for her warmth and compassion by all who knew her. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 31st at 8:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Adalbert's Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 pm.
