Emily Brown

Brown, Emily A. (Burke), 97, of Smithfield, died July 21, 2017. She was the wife of the late Frederick J. Brown. Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ann (King) Burke.

She is survived by her son, Daniel S. Brown and his wife Nancy of Johnston, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Terrance M. Brown and sister of the late Daniel Burke.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Tuesday 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johnston Historical Society, 101 Putnam Pike, Johnston, RI 02919.
