Eleanor Hamberger

Hamberger, Eleanor M. (Meservey), 78, of Putnam Pike, Greenville, died May 14, 2008 at the Village at Waterman Lake. She was the wife of the late Walter C. Hamberger. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Mabel (Manschotte) Meservey.

Ellie worked for the International Exchange Department at Citizens Bank for over 42 years before retiring. She was a graduate of Cranston High School and was a member of the German-American Club of Pawtucket and the Professional Women's Club of RI.

She is survived by Marion, Gloria, and Miriam Meservey, June Francisco, Irene Kann, Nancy Kerrigan and Anna Meservey.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 11AM in the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
