Banville, Eileen “Honey” 89, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Normand E. Banville for 62 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Rose (Pelletier) Gagnon.
Honey is the last of seven siblings.
Honey enjoyed bowling, spending time with her family, and scratch tickets.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Banville, Albert Banville and his wife Anne, Bruce Banville and his wife Diane, and Rachel Monroe and her husband Keith, four grandchildren, Joseph and Christina Banville, Amanda and Ryan Monroe, and two great grandchildren, Paisley and Madison Banville. She was the sister of the late Loretta Rivard, Doris Dandaneau, Lillian McWeeney, Thomas, Albert and Arthur Gagnon.
Honey’s visitation will be held Friday, March 16th, 2018 from 9-11 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, with a funeral home service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St. Providence, RI 02904, or the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, Rhode Island Chapter, P.O. Box 41659, Providence, RI 02940.
