Edward J. DiPrete, Sr.

Edward J. DiPrete, Sr., 79, of North Providence, passed away on August 24, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the devoted husband of 44 years to Angelica “Dolly” (DiSantis) DiPrete. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Ralph and Elvira (Rivera) DiPrete.

Edward worked for National Chain Company of Warwick for 40 years before retiring. He was previously involved with the North Providence Jets Youth Football. He enjoyed playing cards, watching football, traveling to Las Vegas, and going out to dinner. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Dolly, he is survived by six children, Edward J. DiPrete, Jr., Denise (DiPrete) Sepe (fiancé Bruno Porreca), Robert DiPrete (Elisa), Stephen DiPrete (Deborah), Richard Willner, and Andrea Martel (Mike); 12 grandchildren, Gary R. Sepe, Jr. (Amy), Sara DiPrete (fiancé Anthony Merolla), Matthew DiPrete, Emily DiPrete (fiancé Alex Garcia), Lauren DiPrete, Jonathan DiPrete, Anna DiPrete, Grace DiPrete, Kate DiPrete, Nicholas Willner (fiancée Anita Mott) Ali Martel, and Lea Martel; three great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Nevaeh, and Elijah; two sisters, Gloria Messore and Barbara Khoury; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Angelina Simoli, John DiPrete, and Anna Messore.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 3-7 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Reflections and a prayer service will be held from 6:30-7 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
