Dr. Falino

Falino, Dr. John, age 102, formerly of North Providence, died on November 5, 2015 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Born in Providence, in 1913, he was the last surviving child of seven children born to Joseph and Jennie (Colangelo) Falino. He was the husband of the late Alexandra (Kordopati) Falino.

Dr. Falino was a 1942 graduate of the Massachusetts College of Optometry, and a founding member of the Woonasquatucket Valley Rotary Club. He was a practicing optometrist in Centredale from graduation until his retirement in 1976.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jeannine F. Heath, of New Rochelle, New York, and Elsa D. Saccoccio of North Providence, their husbands David Heath and George Saccoccio, and grandchildren Morgan Heath and Kelly Saccoccio.

Private viewing followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rotary Foundation are suggested. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com
