Dorothy Potenza

Potenza, Dorothy J. 91, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of John H. Potenza. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank D. and Jean (MacLeod) Ventura.

Dorothy was a waitress for the former Luke's Restaurant and the former Wing Garden Restaurant. She was a member of the Salvatore Mancini Center.

Besides her husband she leaves a son Norman E. Briggs, Jr. of North Kingstown, a step daughter, Marie Lindstrom of West Warwick, four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She also leaves a sister Elizabeth Murray of Cranston and a brother Robert Ventura of Hemit, CA.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 6-8 PM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Funeral and burial in Highland Memorial Park will be private.
