Dorothy Lafond

Lafond, Dorothy E. (Moreau), 77, died September 17, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. Born in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Adam) Moreau.

Dorothy was employed by Motorola of Mansfield, MA and Auto Zone of North Providence for many years before retiring. She was an active member of the Salvatore Mancini Center. She loved going out to eat and to the movies with her sister and her best friend, Anita, and adored spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Donald Lafond and his wife Whitney of Jacksonville, FL, David Lafond and his wife Bonnie of Cumberland, Donna Lafond of North Providence, and Denise Turcotte and her husband Troy Turcotte, Sr. of Johnston, her sister, Elizabeth Valois, ten grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, Steven, and Ryan Lafond, Tori Sousa, Kyle, Nathan, Nicholas, and Madisyn Turcotte and Troy Turcotte, Jr., four great-grandchildren, and four nieces.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours Friday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Fogarty Center, 220 Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.
