Dorothy Ford

Ford, Dorothy R., 86, of Smith St, died December 19, 2008 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of John J. Ford for 64 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Anna (Jacques) Angell.

Dorothy worked for the North Providence School Department for over 40 years before retiring in June 2007. She had also been the manager of the former Williams 5 and 10 cent store in Centredale.

She leaves two sons, Terrence Ford of Pawtucket, Sean Ford of Exeter, three grandchildren, and a sister Mildred Anderson of Warwick. She was sister of the late Viola Maynard, Carmelita Nix, Herbert, Raymond, and Melvin Angell.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 am from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Mary Mother of Mankind Church. Burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Calling hours Monday 4-7 pm.
