Donald Houde, Jr.

Houde, Donald L. Jr., 48, of Smithfield, died unexpectedly on August 11, 2021.  He was the loving husband of Lori (Sherboken) Houde for 23 years.  Born in Providence, he was the son of Lynda (Pratt) Potwin and her husband Alan and the late Donald L. Houde Sr.

Donald was a truck driver for Mr. Messenger.  He loved gardening, fishing, working on cars, and watching NASCAR.  Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Donald Louis Houde III and Carolyn Marie Houde, three grandchildren, Christian, Kai, and Averiana Houde, two sisters, Virginia Rice and Rebecca DiPietro, and his brother, Donald Alexander.  He also is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends.

His funeral service will be held on Monday August 16, 2021 at 12 Noon in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Visitation will begin at 10 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Donald’s family at https://mealtrain.com/9wz8r6
