Deborah A. DiNitto (Lewis), 64, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2026, after a life filled with love, laughter, family, and countless memories. She had a presence you couldn’t miss and a personality you could never forget.

Debbie loved deeply and without hesitation. Nothing meant more to her than her family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Ashley and Gian DiNitto, whom she loved more than words could describe. She shared the joy of raising Ashley and Gian with the late Robert DiNitto. She was a proud grandmother or, more fittingly, “Glamma” and “Mama” to Nico and Camila, who brought her an indescribable kind of joy. She was a loving daughter to Ronald Lewis and Marcia Rebello, a beloved sister to Marcia Leonardo, Cynthia Rozzo, and Theresa Wrage, and a cherished sister-in-law to Diane DiNitto and mother-in-law to Ashley’s husband, Noah Bruni. She was a constant source of love, laughter, and support to her nieces, nephews, cousins and the many people fortunate enough to call her family.

Debbie had a way of making life feel a little more fun simply by being in the room. She could have you laughing until you were crying, usually without even trying. She was lively, spirited, and was always looking forward to the next place to go, person to see, or memory to make. She was always up for an adventure, and with Debbie, even the simplest plans had a way of becoming the best stories. She loved the beach, the sunshine, and being surrounded by the people she loved.

She was unforgettable in all the best ways. Debbie was always dolled up and never left the house without her signature OPI Aloha nails, a pop of her bright lipstick, vanilla perfume, and of course, a little or sometimes a lot of leopard print. If there was music playing, Debbie was never far from the dance floor. She loved to dance and was always ready for a night out with her close friends. She was beautiful on the outside, but what made her truly beautiful was everything that came from within.

Debbie grew up on the East Side of Providence, where she attended St. Xavier Academy. It was there she made many of the memories and friendships that stayed with her throughout her life.

For 25 years, Debbie worked as a paraprofessional in the North Providence School System, where her caring nature and ability to connect with others made her someone who was deeply appreciated by the children and families she served. Before her career in education, Debbie and her late husband shared the joy and hard work of owning and operating The Colosseum, a sports bar in Johnston, Rhode Island.

Even through life’s most difficult moments, Debbie remained unmistakably herself. Her strength, humor, determination, and love never wavered. She carried herself with a resilience that spoke to the woman she had always been strong, spirited, and full of love.

Debbie’s life was full of color, laughter, love, strength and adventure. That is how she would want to be remembered, not simply for the years she lived, but for the way she made the people around her feel.

She was, and always will be, deeply loved.

Deborah’s wake will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 PM at Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Mary, Mother of Mankind Catholic Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence, RI 02911.
