David Hawkins

Hawkins, David G."Hawk", 71, formerly of North Providence, died October 9, 2013 in Clearwater, FL. He was the husband of Katherine (McManus) Hawkins. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Herbert and Viola (Handfield) Hawkins.

David was a retired auctioneer and antiques dealer with his shop formerly located in Centredale. He was a US Coast Guard veteran.\, and a former special policeman with the North Providence Police Department.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Patricia Hawkins of Chepachet, a step daughter, Deborah Morris of Smithfield, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday from 1- 3 PM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a memorial service at 3PM. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com.
