Antonelli, Claire (Cerce), 95, of Johnston, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria (Perrotta) Cerce. She was the beloved wife of the late Guido Antonelli.

Claire was a passionate Yankees fan and sports enthusiast. She was especially proud of being a mother and grandmother and took joy in cooking for her family. Claire was employed by the City of Providence and worked as a baker for the school lunch program until her retirement. During WWII she worked at Quonset Point as an aircraft inspector. She took great pride in her work and was a dedicated employee.

She leaves two children, Donna Macomber and her husband Thomas of Johnston, Richard Antonelli and Diane Maynard of East Providence, two grandchildren Scott Macomber and his wife Jean of Johnston, and Kristine Macomber and her husband Lee Weaver of Raleigh, NC. She also leaves four great grandchildren, Kaden, Adeline, Reece, and Penelope, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rose Bianchino, Anthony Cerce, Eve O’Brien, Michael Cerce, Elizabeth Zampini, Nicholas Cerce and Tina Loffredo.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10AM in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI, 1085 North Main St, Providence, RI 02904.
