Clark, Charles W. "Chick", 93, of Stillwater Rd., died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was the beloved husband of Flora (Dragon) Clark.

He leaves five children, Patricia Slader, Charles Clark, Jr., Donald Clark and Laurie Dio, all of Smithfield and Chris Clark of Glocester, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Clark worked as a milkman for 35 years and was a faithful communicant of St. Michael's Church for 64 years. He was a WWII Veteran. He played semi-pro baseball for the Christiansen Dairy Team and was invited for a try out with the Chicago Cubs prior to the war. After the war, he coached numerous teams and was an avid Red Sox fan right to the end.

His funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917.
