Cecile Bouchard

Bouchard, Cecile M. (Hamel), 89, died July 9, 2009 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre. She was the wife of the late Edward U. Bouchard, Jr. Born in Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Rheault) Hamel.

Cecile was the former owner of Smithfield Oil Service and was a dietary worker for the VA Hospital before retiring. She loved playing bingo and watching movies.

She leaves a daughter, Jeannine C. Huyler and her husband Joseph of Smithfield, and the "highlights of her life", her five grandchildren, Joseph F. Huyler, Jr., Jeffrey E. Huyler, Jay M. Huyler, John P. Huyler, and Heidi Huyler Jay, and five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Roger and Raymond Hamel.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 8:30-9:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael Food Closet, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917.
