Labrie, Catherine Frances (Teehan), 94, died Saturday March 4, 2017 at the Viera Hospital in Melbourne, Florida. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Labrie. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Teahan, Sr. and Rose Anna (Lyons) Teahan.
Catherine was a Tester at Mine Safety Appliance in Esmond, RI, for 24 years before retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Emblem Club of the Smithfield Lodge of Elks #2359, Hi-Lo-Jack Club and the Smithfield Senior Center.
She is survived by her three children, Maureen Barter and her husband Richard of La Grange, KY, Frances Lee and her husband James of Viera, FL, and Gary Labrie and his wife Donna of Melbourne, FL, seven grandchildren, Richard (Stephanie) Barter, Jr., Jason (Jennifer) Barter, John (Annie) Pickett, Neil (Laura) Pickett, Ted (Laura) Pickett, Joseph (Stephen) Labrie and Jessica Labrie, and four great grandchildren, Sophia Pickett, Logan Pickett, Connor Lester and Jason Barter, Jr. She was the sister of the late James Teahan, Elizabeth (James) Prest, Rose (James) Smith, Mary (Earl) Mullen, Margaret (Clarence) Hand, Veronica Teehan, Anna (Armand, Sr.) Lemoi, Evelyn (Armand) Gagne and Maurice (Theresa Dionne) Teehan and mother in law of the late Pamela Labrie.
Calling hours will be held Sunday March 12, 2017 from 3-6PM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11AM in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. There will be no cortege from the funeral home. Burial will be private in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery.
