Carolyn Izzo

Izzo, Carolyn A. (Flynn), 67, of North Providence, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of Robert E. Izzo, Jr., mother of Sarah Izzo and her husband Eric Larson, and daughter-in-law of Jennie Izzo. She was predeceased by her mother Dorothy (Flynn) Carlisle, stepfather Everett Carlisle, and father-in-law Robert E. Izzo, Sr.

She is also survived by a sister, Janice Petrarca and her husband Ronnie, a brother, Tom Masterson, sister- and brother- in-law Paula and Richard Girasole, a large extended family, many beloved friends, and her grand-dog Abbey.

A graduate of Rhode Island College, Carolyn worked in the dental and insurance fields. She retired from Delta Dental to become a full-time pet sitter, a job she loved. She was a trustee of St. Thomas Parish and active in the church community, participating in the music ministry, baptism classes, Hopkins Manor services, and more.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave. Providence, RI 02909. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours Friday 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Church.
