Blanche King

North Providence

King, Blanche E. (LeBeau), 98, formerly of North Providence, died on May 9, 2021 at Stillwater Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing.  She was the wife of the late Leo A. King.  Born in Burrillville, she was a daughter of the late Adolphis and Lodina (Tellier) LeBeau.

Blanche worked as a staff assistant at the Brown University Admissions Office for 20 years, retiring in 1984, previously working for the Federal Government Milk Market for five years.  She was a member of the Smithfield Senior Center and the Salvatore Mancini Center, as well as the AARP of North Providence.  She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing bocce and was an avid square dancer.

Blanche is survived by her daughter, Barbara King, eight grandchildren, Gayle Dornhecker, Sandee Havunen, Gerald Dornhecker, Jeff Havunen, Bryan Havunen, Todd Dornhecker, Gary Havunen, and Tricia Dion, and seven great-grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Sandra King, grandmother of the late Kristin Dornhecker, and sister of the late Wilfred LeBeau and Arline Moradian.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  Calling hours Saturday 8:30-9:30 am.
