Bernadette J. Latham, 101, of Johnston, died on November 19, 2023 at her home, just 10 days shy of her 102nd birthday.  She was the wife of the late Irving H. Latham.  Born in Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Armosa (Giroux) Audet and sister of the late Roland Audet.  She and her family immigrated to the United States when she was four years old.

Bernadette was a talented seamstress and made beautiful ceramics.  She was also an accomplished  painter who frequently sold paintings on commission.  Most of all, she was devoted to her family.

She is survived by two children, Harry Latham (late Patricia) of Michigan and Joan Hilton of Johnston, with whom she lived;  four grandchildren, Jeffrey Hilton (Lynn), Lisa Mallette (David), James Latham (Hellen), and Laurie Latham, and five great-grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Mark Latham.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27th from 11 am - 12:30 pm, followed by a service at 12:30 pm, in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
