Arthur Richard

Richard, Arthur C. (Lt., JPD Retired), 75, of North Providence, formerly of Johnston, died January 10, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Lois J. (Bissanti) Richard and son of the late George and Natalia (Pappini) Richard. He was the loving father of Lisa Richard of North Providence and Lori Guarniero of Johnston. He was the cherished grandfather of Robert Guarniero Jr. and Julia Guarniero and great-grandfather of Dante and Desiree DeBartolo. He also leaves his sister, Rita Panarelli of Warwick. He was brother of the late William Richard and stepbrother of the late George and Joseph Richard.

His passion was his family and his work. He was a retired Security Officer from Rhode Island College and a retired Lieutenant from the Johnston Police Department.

His funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence followed by burial with military honors in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 4-7 pm and Thursday 9-10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Hopkins Manor Activities Fund.
