Armand Giammarco

Armand "Poncho" Giammarco, 61, of Providence, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center with his loving family by his side. Born in North Providence, he was the son of Janet (Bourassa) Giammarco and the late Armand Giammarco. Poncho is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 27 years, Diane Marino, a daughter, Amanda, and his beloved dog "Peanut". In addition to his mother, wife, and daughter, Poncho is survived by two brothers, Robert Giammarco and Joseph Giammarco, and five sisters, Linda Kreydatus, Donna Giammarco, Gena Falk, Denise Kaminski, and Jacqueline Giammarco, and his many nieces and nephews.

Poncho was a classic muscle car enthusiast, having owned many throughout his life. He was self-employed as a truck driver with his own garage for many years in North Providence. His family is comforted by the memory of him being "strong as a bull" while he is cruising around Heaven in one of his many treasured cars, watching over them like the great protector he was.

He will NEVER be forgotten and we will always love him to the moon and back.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 9 am in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.
