Ann M. Langford

August 25, 1935 — November 20, 2025

Johnston

Ann M. (Butera) Langford, 90, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Walter H. Langford. Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Gesualda “Jessie” (Rotondo) Butera and the beloved sister of the late Tina aRusso and Sam Butera.

Ann’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her five loving children and their spouses: Laurie Langford and David Crogan, Karen and Dan Hawkins, Kathy Lorraine, Jane and Bob Slusarz, Walter and Trish Langford and her extended family Annette Bourcier.

She was a proud grandmother to nine beautiful grandchildren — Danny, Chris, Ryan, Katie, Becky, Rob, Cameron, Andrew and Megan — and a joyful great-grandmother to ten, each of whom brought her joy and happiness with every visit, especially the holidays which she made magical for all. Family was truly at the center of Ann’s world.

A wonderful cook and gracious hostess, Ann filled her home with laughter, good food, and the comforting warmth of family gatherings. She looked forward to her Italian family dinners with more courses than anyone could finish. Ann had a quick wit and a love of telling jokes, especially the ones that made everyone blush. Her fun and crazy hat collection was well known to her family and friends and she even made a guest appearance on Deal or No Deal, where she won a whopping $90.00.

Ann and Walt shared a love of ballroom dancing, travel, and family camping trips that created a lifetime of treasured memories.

Ann’s legacy is one of love, laughter and deep family connection. Her generous spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
