Bryant, Angus E., 70, of Smithfield, died Friday, September 16, 2016 at home. He was the beloved partner of Nancy Bruno.

Angus was a diesel mechanic for over 40 years, mostly in the California/Sacramento area. He had also been a mortgage broker for many years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Lodi, California and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks at Smithfield Lodge #2359. He had served in the US Air Force and the US Army for a combined 9 years. As an avid RV traveler, he visited 48 out of the 50 states.

Besides his beloved partner, he leaves two sisters, Lois Ware formerly of Johnston, Ruth Coloura of Chepachet, many nieces and nephews, and his best dog and pal Dakota. He was the brother of the late Arbutus Simmons.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10 AM in Highland Memorial Park, 1 Rhode Island Ave., Johnston. Visiting hours will be held in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, Tuesday 4-8PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RI Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Ave, Bristol, RI 02809.
