Angela M. Pesaturo, a cherished aunt, devoted family member, and a bright light to all who knew her, passed away peacefully at the age of 94, on July 5, 2026.
Born and raised in the vibrant Federal Hill neighborhood of Providence, RI, Angela later built a beautiful life in North Providence. Following her marriage to her beloved husband, Louis Pesaturo, in 1956, the couple settled in the Lymansville area, where she became a mainstay of the community for decades.
While Angela never had children of her own, her life was overflowing with the love, laughter, and noise of a massive, devoted family. Her nieces and nephews were truly the center of her world. To Angela, they weren’t just extended family—they were her children, her confidants, and her greatest source of pride. She shared an especially close, lifelong bond with her sister Olga’s three sons, John, Jimmy, and Joey. Growing up right next door, they were a constant part of her daily life and held a uniquely treasured place in her heart. They ensured she was always cared for, celebrated, and surrounded by affection up until her very last days.
Angela lived a long, beautiful 94 years defined by her independence, her fierce loyalty to those she loved, and an open-door policy for family. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and countless treasured memories that her family will carry forward for generations.
A woman of deep faith and community spirit, she was a dedicated and avid parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church. She poured her heart into her church community, most notably through her years of enthusiastic volunteering at the annual feast, an event she looked forward to every year. Her desire to give back also extended to the Salvatore Mancini Senior Center in North Providence, where she spent many years as a dedicated volunteer, bringing her warmth and energy to her fellow seniors. For many years, she was also a well-known and friendly face as a vendor at a flea market in a nearby community. Her discipline and vitality were equally inspiring; she was a familiar and welcome face at the North Providence Natatorium, where she made it a point to go swimming every day.
She is survived by her loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who will miss her dearly but find comfort in knowing she lived a full and remarkably blessed life.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis Pesaturo; her parents, Antonetta (Neri) and Joseph Mambro; and her siblings, Olga Pesaturo, Mafalda Pagano, Anthony Mambro, and Evelyn Pettinato.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Entombment will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday, July 16th from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Mount St. Rita Nursing Home, 15 Sumner Brown Road, Cumberland, RI 02864, in memory of Angela Pesaturo.
