Alphonse F. "Butch" Dionne, Jr.

Dionne, Alphonse F. Jr. “Butch”, 72, of Smithfield, passed on September 18, 2019.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Alphonse and Viola (Fenner) Dionne.

He is survived by two daughters, Renee Blanchette and her husband Ronald and Michelle Amarante and her husband Juan, and three grandchildren, Matthew and Madeline Amarante and Jakeob Blanchette.  He was the brother of the late William Sellers and is survived by brothers, Kenneth and George Dionne and sister Anaise Clapprood.

Butch was a long-time construction worker for Acme Concrete Forms of Johnston.  He was an avid fisherman, who loved to tie flies and take his grandchildren fishing.  He also loved to hunt, garden, and scour the woods for mushrooms, then cook up a storm.

Services and burial in Highland Memorial Park will be private.
