Joanne DiTroia

On July 18, 2023, Joanne (Finucane) DiTroia, entered into eternal rest after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph M DiTroia. She was the daughter of the late Audrey J. (Thurston Finucane) Brown and James P Finucane Jr who was lost in World War II. Audrey then became the wife of John J Brown, who raised Joanne as his own. She was the most beloved mother of Jodi M DiTroia-Eddy (wife Sarah Eddy) and Jason M DiTroia (wife Cindy Saucier-DiTroia). Joanne was the proud and loving grandmother to Andrew T Cervini and Brett M DiTroia.

She also leaves behind sister Audrey June (Finucane) Grossi, brother James P Finucane III, brother William Brown (late wife Cathleen Leveille), sister, Susan Paliotta, and brother Michael Brown, who served as a part-time caregiver to Joanne. She also leaves many nieces & nephews.

Joanne was a great woman with pride in her family, love of her grandchildren and lifelong friends. She was a cashier at Pocasset Market where she worked amongst family, then on to her career at RI Hospital Trust Bank and The Trust as a claims assistant.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Saturday 10-11 am.
